How to Change the Email Sender Account?
When you email a scan from ScannerApp using the Email export option, it uses the Apple Mail app to send the message.
That means the email is sent from the account currently signed in and active in the Mail app—not from ScannerApp itself.
To Change the Sender Email Account
To switch the sender account, you’ll need to add or manage accounts in the Apple Mail app:
Open your iPhone or iPad’s Settings app
Scroll down and tap Mail > Accounts
Tap Add Account, and select your email provider (e.g., Gmail, Outlook)
- Enter your email address and password
Tap Next and then Save
Once added, open ScannerApp, choose Export > Email, and you’ll be able to tap the "From" field in the email draft to switch between your added accounts.

What’s the “Email Recipient” in ScannerApp Settings?
In ScannerApp > Settings, there’s an option to add a Email Recipient.
This is simply a shortcut — the app will automatically fill in that email address when you start composing a new email.
✅ The email will still be sent from your Apple Mail account,
🚫 Not from the Default Recipient you’ve entered.
This can be useful if you often send scans to the same person (e.g., your own email, a team inbox, etc.).
